When I started taking yoga classes over 10 years ago, I was instantly hooked. During my first year of practice, I completed a 30 day challenge and experienced both a physical and mental transformation. I felt stronger, happier and more focused on my health and wellbeing than ever before.  Creditting my newfound focus and positive mindset to my consistent practice of yoga, I decided what better way to continue my growth and share my passion with others, than to teach yoga. A few years later I found a training that fit my schedule at the time, and I completed a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training. As I continue my personal practice it gives me an incredible sense of awareness and connection to myself. I love to teach from personal experience because working through what shows up on my mat each and every time I arrive is different, humbling, and magic and I believe that is what brings us all to our mat time and time again.

Why Yoga For Golfers?

I have golfed casually on and off for years, with hand-me-down clubs from my mum, mostly at company tournaments and networking opportunities. Every time I walk off the course I notice how much I enjoy a day spent outdoors, surrounded by beautiful scenery and with great company. I appreciate the time to connect and focus on myself, my game, and the environment. I have found so many parallels between yoga and golf. The body awareness, mental focus, balance, strength and lighthearted attitude required for both drew me to Katherine Roberts’ Yoga For Golfers® program. It’s a perfect blend of my love of yoga and my growing love of golf. I tribute my years of gymnastics growing up for my love of dynamic, purposeful and explosive movement, which I have found in both yoga and golf. Integrating yoga into golf emphasizes increasing range of motion and mobility, accessing more power and strength, enhancing focus, and preventing injury.

I love to learn.  I am constantly exploring ways to expand my knowledge base through personal practice, workshops, training, community involvement and teaching.

I would love to know how I can support you on your journey, on or off the mat or course.

Namaste,

Kristy

Interested in taking yoga for golf swing prep. I have limited yoga experience and two fake knees so cannot kneel. Do you offer classes. If so, when, where and is there a specified time period
